One Shot This Privacy Policy
One Shot This turns tweets, YouTube videos and web pages into prompts for a destination you choose.
Information the extension handles
The extension reads content needed for its prompt workflow. This may include an active page's title and URL, selected or article text, tweet text and authors, quoted posts, image links, loaded thread content, and YouTube titles, descriptions and available transcripts. The extension adds controls to supported X and YouTube pages and processes their page content locally. Website content may contain personal or sensitive information.
Local settings
Prompt templates, your default destination, bolt placement and an optional project folder path are saved in your browser using Chrome's local extension storage. The extension does not store a browsing-history log. Page content and generated prompts are not intentionally persisted in extension storage.
When information leaves your browser
When you click a destination, or use the Alt+click shortcut, the generated prompt is passed to your chosen service or installed app through a destination URL or app deep link. The prompt can contain the source text, page URL, image links and other extracted context. It is opened for you to review and is not automatically submitted to the AI service. Content included in a destination URL may be visible to that service and may remain in browser history. Desktop deep links may include your configured project folder path.
Choosing Copy prompt writes the prompt to your clipboard. For long prompts, the extension attempts to copy the complete prompt to the clipboard while opening a shortened version. Your operating system or clipboard tools may retain copied content according to their settings.
The selected AI provider or desktop app handles the information under its own privacy policy and settings. Review the prompt before sending it, particularly if the source contains private information.
No developer collection server
The extension does not send content or settings to a developer-operated collection server and includes no analytics, advertising or tracking service. It does not sell user data or use it for unrelated profiling or creditworthiness decisions.
Limited Use
One Shot This uses and transfers user data only to provide its prominently described, user-directed prompt functionality. Its use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your choices
You can change templates, destinations and bolt placement in extension settings. You can clear extension settings by removing the extension. Removing the extension does not erase browser history, clipboard history or information already received by another service. You can control the extension's site access in Chrome.
Contact and changes
Use the support contact shown on the One Shot This Chrome Web Store listing for privacy questions. This policy will be updated if the extension's data practices change.
